Emmanuel Lutheran Church supports the Ecumenical Community Food Pantry of Norwood (http://norwoodpantry.org/) through collections of non-perishable food goods several times a year. For example, there is a Thanksgiving “in-gathering” of canned and packaged foods which takes place the Sunday before Thanksgiving when members place bags of donated food in front of the altar. The bags of food are transported to the food pantry after the worship services.
