The Stewardship team is responsible for encouraging congregation members to give their time, talents and money to support the church and its missions. Each year starting in August the team meets and plans a fall program to highlight the ways that the members of the congregation can contribute. The fall program generally culminates on the last Sunday in October with Commitment Sunday. During worship services on Commitment Sunday congregation members bring their commitment cards containing financial pledges forward for dedication. After Commitment Sunday the Stewardship team contacts active members they have not heard from and totals the financial giving pledges which are critical for the Finance Team to plan the next year’s church operating budget.
