Hi, I’m James Allan – your new sexton at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Norwood! I’d like to share just a few things about myself with you all.
First of all, I am still fairly new to Norwood – I have lived here about a year and a half. I am 40 years old, I am married to Michele (who happens to be the pastor at the First Congregational Church in Norwood), and I have two children – Grace (age 10) and Aidan (age 4). This will be the 4th church I have served in the capacity of sexton, janitor, building manager, etc.
In addition to cleaning and maintenance work, I also work with youth and I do live sound/audio production. My family and I love to get outside whenever we can – we love to hike, camp, ride bikes, play outside games, etc. We also love to go to museums, going to baseball games, and really enjoy movies!
As I write this, I am planning on being in worship very soon to meet you all! If you spend any time at the church during the week, I’m sure I will get to know you during those times. I’m excited as I begin this job taking care of your church building and I look forward to meeting you all soon!
